London Fashion Week — Show Production Lead Genaro Rivas — SS25 / AW24 I led the production of five London Fashion Week shows for Genaro Rivas, overseeing the full end-to-end process from venue planning to backstage operations. My role included sourcing the venue, coordinating model casting, managing technical production, and hiring and leading a team of 25 backstage volunteers to deliver a seamless show experience. I worked closely with lighting teams, stylists, PR partners, and the designer to align creative direction with logistical execution. This included managing run-throughs, backstage flow, lineup sequencing, and all key show-day operations. Each show demanded precision, leadership, and the ability to handle high-pressure, fast-paced environments — resulting in a polished, impactful presentation for press, buyers, and industry guests. The collection, darkly poetic and impressively executed, leaned into denim’s grit and familiarity only to subvert it through radical, zero-waste pattern cutting, hand embroidery, and laser etched sigils lifted from 19th-century raven art.

Creative and Production Process

Oversaw the complete creative and production process, managing a multidisciplinary team of 25 volunteer designers and fashion students. Responsibilities included team recruitment, conducting interviews, and establishing an efficient, collaborative workflow across all creative and technical departments.

Casting & Location Setup

Led coordination with the model casting team, lighting crew, and lighting engineer to ensure that all visual and technical elements aligned with the project’s creative vision. Directed model walks, supervised backstage operations, and managed cue transitions to maintain a seamless show experience. Additionally, provided oversight of the full location setup to create a cohesive and immersive environment for both participants and audience.
